CELEBRITY BABY NEWS |
The celebrity baby train roars onIn 2006 it seemed like there were more celebrity babies born that you could shake a rattle at. The stars were busy introducing their new bundles of joy to the world and we were busy Googling the names Suri and Shiloh to get a first glimpse. It appears that the baby craze it still hot in Hollywood. Some of the latest celebrities reported to have impending stork deliveries are Nicole Richie, Sacha Baron Cohen and Christina Aguilera. Nicole Richie reportedly went straight into rehab at the request of her boyfriend, Joel Madden, front man for the group Good Charlotte. Richie is currently facing DUI charges stemming from her arrest last December, when she was found driving the wrong way on a California highway. Richie’s trial is set for July 11. If convicted, she faces a minimum of five days in jail. Or she could fair worse and get an even longer sentence than her Simple Life co-hort Paris Hilton. Maybe Nicole’s delicate condition will be taken into consideration by the judge. It has not been officially announced and her rep is neither confirming or denying the fact that Christina Aguilera found out she was 9 weeks pregnant just days before her husband, music producer, Jordan Bratman’s 30th birthday. Many speculate that a confirmation will come after the mommy-to-be is past the crucial 12-week point. In June at the MTV Movie Awards a friend was heard congratulating Sacha Baron Cohen on the baby to which he responded “Thank you”. It was later put into print that Sacha, better known as Borat and his long time girlfriend Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers) are expecting this winter. It appears that there will be no shortage of Hollywood babies for sometime to come. Several more celebrities have confirmed that they may not have a baby on board yet but they are trying. Lisa Marie Presley and her 4th husband, guitarist Michael Lockwood are trying to have a child together which would be the 3rd child for Lisa Marie and the first for Michael. Lisa Marie isn’t the only Scientologist to be wanting to procreate: Katie Holmes & Tom Cruise, and Kelly Preston & John Travolta, are reportedly trying to add to their broods. Along with close “TomKat” friends Victoria & David Beckham. Of course creating another little Beckham might take back seat to recreating Posh Spice in the long anticipated Spice Girls reunion tour which kicks off later this year in Los Angeles. Halle Berry may have recently proclaimed to the press that she has no plans to marry again but after turning 40 the actress can’t get babies off her mind. Before her 40th birthday last year Halle told Oprah, "If there's no serious man [in my life], whoever I'm dating at the time, I'll say, 'Hey, would you like to have a baby?'" At that time Halle had recently started dating fellow Versace model Gabriel Aubry and the two are still together; by Hollywood standards that’s pretty serious. So don’t be surprised to hear about a little Berry-Aubry on the way. The oldest celebrity possible daddy-to-be? Playboy founder, 81-year old, Hugh Hefner. His number one live-in girlfriend (there are a total of three) playmate Holly Madison wants desperately to have Hef’s baby in the next year. Rep’s have denied that Holly is already with child but she has recently been spotted displaying very un-playmate like behavior; wearing loose clothing, and forgoing alcohol and parties. Holly has made it clear to Hugh’s other playmate girlfriends that once she and Hef have started their family it will just be the two of them. It’s nice to know that the traditional nuclear family still has a fighting chance in America. With the celebrity baby craze end nowhere in sight who could be next? Demi and Ashton? Jay-Z and Beyonce? Or newlyweds Eva Longoria and Tony Parker? |
